Hello World!

Welcome to Arcitarium! Officially! My name is Mathew Wildeman and this is my first ever blog post. I have been wanting to start an online presence for awhile now, whether it’s in the form of a blog or YouTube channel. So here it is!

Why I have been avoiding to start a blog is partly because I am nervous about how I write, but mainly because I thought I needed everything planned out first. I felt I needed everything figured out beforehand and is ultimately what kept me from starting. I did a ton of research on how to start a blog and a big concept kept reoccurring in every video I watched, and article I’ve read. That concept being; Just dive in and fall forward. I have heard so many times people say that starting a blog or YouTube channel was the best decision they have made and that they regret not starting sooner. So here I am, now finally taking their advice and starting my own blog with the help of my siblings.

The goal of this blog is to teach and inspire others about physics and coding because that is what I am passionate about. My vision is to explain physics concepts at a beginner level and code simulations to help reinforce the learning. I enjoy watching Veritasium, Stand-Up Maths, Numberphile, Vsauce, and The Coding Train on YouTube who are big inspirations for this blog.
